Sudden Drop In Workload

In almost every case, you have likely reached the final week of your block, which is automatically a deload week. This week is designed to be a reduced week of training to aide in recovery for another block of hard training.

In the case that you are not in your deload week and your volume was cut, it is likely that the algorithm determined (based on your feedback) that you would benefit from backing off a bit to improve recovery and performance.

Is the Deload Always the Last Week?

Yes, the last week of the block is always a deload.

Can I Skip the Deload?

You can, but it isn't recommended particularly for late-intermediate-to-advanced athletes who may have a harder time training hard for longer periods of time and need more time to recover.

I'm Skipping the Deload

By all means, do what you feel is best for your training! We don't know you like you know you. If you are skipping the deload, simply mark the block as complete and build your next block, then roll right into week 1. Hit the 3 dot menu in the top right corner and hit 'end meso.'
